You've received your digital gallery, but now it's time for some physical prints!
If you don't have much experience with ordering physical prints of your photos, it can be kind of daunting. Follow along in this post to learn how and why you should get prints of your brand new photos.
First, why should you order prints or wall art?
In my opinion, photos always seem a bit more magical when you're holding it in your hand or seeing it on your wall. There's something fun and nostalgic about flipping through a physical photo album and passing it around to your family members or friends. Photos on a phone can get buried under new ones, and how often do you really sit around a computer to look through them? Plus, you went through all the effort of organizing a professional photoshoot and getting dressed for it, you're going to want to actually do something with those photos!
A lot of people simply keep all their pictures on their phone. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this, and trust me I have a TON of pictures on my phone. Even though our phone screens are now larger than ever and have more resolution than ever, they still will never compare to seeing your photo in physical form. Even a 4x6 print is larger than all phones, so imagine how cool it would be to see your print even bigger! Now, imagine a giant poster print of your favorite photo from your gallery beautifully framed and hung on your wall for you and everyone in your home to enjoy. My three year old son loves seeing pictures of himself around the house and always has comments to make about them. Your family will also be excited that you want to decorate your home with beautiful memories of you all together.
Lastly, one of the most important reasons why we take pictures as humans is to document. In today's world, pictures are so easy to take that I believe we can forget the importance of a photo. A photo captures a single moment in time, and as humans it is so important to pass these moments on to the next generation. I love seeing photos of my grandparents and great grandparents when they were young. Imagine how generations from now, your great grandkids could be looking at photos of you. Who knows what will happen to our digital pictures or the cloud someday? But a physical print that is taken care of can be passed on through your family for generations to come.
Now, how do you get your physical prints?
When I deliver your digital photo gallery, you will have a print shop directly attached to the gallery.
Located in the upper right corner, click or tap on "PRINT STORE."
From here, you can browse many options. You can order prints, wall art, or albums. What you want to order is completely up to you. Do you want an album to keep on your coffee table? Do you want a big canvas print displayed on your wall? Do you want wallet size prints to share with friends and family?
Each product will have various sizes and some will also have different customization options as well. For example, a normal print will let you choose between three paper options: lustre, glossy, and deep matte. If you hover over any option, it will give you a little description of that paper type.
One thing I really love about the print shop is that you can see little mock ups of what your prints could actually look like on the product.
Lastly, do you have to order your prints through my shop?
No you do not! With Little Dragan Photography, you receive full printing rights to your photos. That means you have the right to choose where and how you have your photos printed. The only thing you cannot do is have your photos publicated in a magazine, for example, and take credit for the photos. But if you want to get your pictures printed at Walgreens, Walmart, or wherever, you may do so.
So then why should you order prints through my shop?
The most important reason is that the quality will be so much better. Everything in my shop is professional grade quality. The paper will last longer, be more durable, and simply look better. One of the biggest differences between professional printing services and a place like Walgreens is that the colors will be accurate. My photos are all edited in my own style, and when you receive professional prints, the colors will look the same. Sometimes when you order through a drugstore, the prints can look overly dark or the colors won't look the same as what you see on screen.
Finally, when you order through my shop you are supporting a small business! Everything you order through my shop will give me a small kickback. It's basically another way that you can tip your photographer for their service. While it is not necessary, it is ALWAYS appreciated.
